Latin America
Most Latin American countries had gained political independence by 1830. They also failed to industrialize and were dependent on goods from Europe to U.S. British Capital then increased the control they had over Latin America due to their money. British business people migrated to Latin American countries to raise cattle, sheep, and build facilities to transport goods. France then copied Britain informal imperialist approach and began businesses and banks in Latin America. France then conquered and occupied Mexico in 1862.
