James Watt
James Watt was born on January 19, 1736 in Greenock, Scotland. Mr. Watt became the "Father of the Industrial Revolution" after he improved the steam engine. Within a few months he noticed he had produced an improved product that would become a great fortune. Still, Watt lacked money needed to produce and market the item. Watt was then given the opportunity to form a partnership with the shrewd manufacturer Matthew Boulton. He was then able to mass produce his product the "Steam Engine". The improved engine had a separate condensing chamber that could be cool while the cylinder was hot. Watt's engine soon became the dominant design for all modern steam engines and helped bring about the Industrial Revolution.
